Your bathroom should be your sanctuary. It’s where you start your day, find your escape, and create the perfect look for date night. A great bathroom should be clean, comfortable, and cozy from the moment you walk in the door.

Clearly, these people didn’t get that memo. Here are some of our favorite all-time bathroom fails that are sure to make you laugh!

I’ll Just Hold It, Thanks.

We start our worst-of-the-worst bathroom tour in public restrooms, where the design flaws in these spaces are bound to make any user decide to risk it and race home rather than press their luck.

This countertop in a public restroom clearly isn’t as chic as the designers wanted it to be. Not many people want to wash their hands in a sink smeared with brown marks. We’ll let you use your imagination as to why.

Then there’s this bathroom, which you can only share with really close friends! We don’t know about you, but there isn’t anyone we want to be so close enough with that we nearly touch knees while using the restroom. A quick divider and some stall doors, or removing one of the toilets can solve this issue.

Of course, not all stall doors are created equal, as this photo shows. At least the, um, sensitive areas are covered, but users will need to look down as they go. Nothing could be worse than making eye-contact mid-stream.

Close, But No Dice

Contractors have an old saying that goes, “measure twice, cut once.” It’s a handy reminder to ensure nothing is out of place, misshapen, or a disastrous failure. These bathrooms just missed the mark on this one.

The genius at this house tried to make the long toilet and just-too-long bathroom door work functionally, but there are a few flaws with their plan. For starters, once the door is closed, the toilet bowl-sized hole in the door eliminates all sense of privacy for the user. Plus, cutting the door doesn’t really solve the main issue with this bathroom: There just isn’t enough space.

This bathroom sink has the opposite issue. This poor little faucet just isn’t big enough to reach the sink, and instead water drips onto the counter and away from the sink. In a year when hand-washing has become critical, it’s a shame that this house just doesn’t have the bathroom sink that’s up to the task!

Right Idea, Wrong Place

Finally, this gallery has some bathrooms that are fairly normal. There’s enough space for private usage, and there doesn’t appear to be any fatal design flaw – until you peek behind the curtain.

Specifically for this bathroom, it’s the shower curtain. Unfortunately, one quick rinse in the shower could create a soppy, pipe-clogging mess that’s sure to cost the homeowners more than just a few rolls of toilet paper. Plus, that’s quite the reach for anyone on the toilet!

The same can be said for this next bathroom. The arm gymnastics one has to do just to reach a few sheets of toilet paper is too taxing for any user. We suggest a separate holder for anyone with a similar bathroom.

Hunter was amazing! He was friendly, efficient and did a great job replacing my kitchen faucet and fixing a leak underneath. Will definitely use them again.

We had a water line shut-off valve burst. Jim came in, assessed the situation, replaced some parts, and even helped with the dishwasher hose. But what stood out the most was his kindness and personable nature. If I ever need plumbing services again, Jim's the one I'm calling.
