Our Story

Clyde Rackham, “Grandpa”, started cleaning lines and working on septic systems way back in 1948. He started “flat rate pricing” and the ethical nature that is still carried on today at Master Rooter Plumbing.

After being in the Plumbing Industry since the 40’s Master Plumbing has seen significant changes in practices, methods, materials, and equipment required to complete our jobs correctly. Over the last 70 years plumbing systems and fixtures have become more reliable and efficient as well. Reliable and efficient plumbing are of the utmost importance in the the health care industry, production, manufacturing, farming and nearly every other aspect of our world. In 2021 we are seeing the Treasure Valleys entire infrastructure being challenged due to the growth we’ve seen over the past 20 years, but especially the rapid growth in the last 2 years.

As Boise, Meridian, Eagle and Nampa all continue to grow together Master Plumbing will continue to expand offices, service centers and capabilities to provide Honest and Ethical Service for years to come.

Larry and J’Deanne Rackham were the second generations to continue steadfast in the philosophy that the customer comes first and a job worth doing is a job worth doing right. Larry’s knowledge and expertise are legendary in the Treasure Valley.

Today, Lance Rackham is the third generation to own Master Rooter Plumbing and is committed to continuing the strong traditions that his family has created in this trade. The name “Master Rooter” is known for its quality, integrity, and problem-solving. Lance has found satisfaction in this trade his whole life.

Lance went from riding with “Grandpa” and Dad in the “big” trucks when he could barely walk, to creating his own fleet of trucks as operations manager. Today, he carries the responsibility of the day to day functions of Master Plumbing. Lance is committed to carrying the torch and adding to the foundation that will continue for generations to come.
