It’s no secret that Idaho has transformed from a hidden gem to a highly-sought after place to raise a family. In Boise alone, home prices are skyrocketing, and it can be difficult for long-time locals to grow accustomed to the busy, expensive lifestyle and growth that the greater Treasure Valley is undergoing.
That’s why we love Kuna.
As a small town nestled in Ada County just 19 miles from Idaho’s capital city, Kuna has become a quiet, affordable sanctuary for locals who want to escape the noise and live in a region that supports a quieter lifestyle.
We are honored to serve the Kuna region, and as we continue to do so, we have come to love the people and attractions that make Kuna the place it is today. It’s our honor to highlight just what makes Kuna a great place to live.
Sip a Little While
It’s the best kept secret this side of the Mississippi! Idaho’s climate makes it one of the best places in the country to make wine, and Kuna has the gorgeous wineries to prove it. Whether you take a little wintery tour through our valleys — Be sure to check out Winery Seekers if you do! — or choose your favorite for an afternoon of sipping, we guarantee you will find a favorite.
For a family legacy that has transformed into a hotspot of activity, live music, yoga, and great wine, check out Indian Creek Winery. You can also find great pours at Syringa Winery or Vizcaya Winery, who, after years of supplying their own grapes to other wineries, decided to make their own amazing batches.
Catch a Show
Small-town theatre features the best of live entertainment with local artists you get to know off the stage! If you enjoy a night of theatre, check out the Kuna Performing Arts Center. Located at Kuna High School, you can watch local school performances and community theatre groups perform some of your favorite shows and hits you may have never seen. Check them out online for ticketing information and show details.
Living in the high desert makes you appreciate the small things in life — like floating down the river! One of the best ways to spend a summer afternoon in Kuna is to float down Indian Creek. All you need is an intertube, cold drinks, a few friends, and your swim shoes! You will beat the heat and have a ton of fun exploring the Kuna from one of the most unique vantage points.
Time to Eat
As our town has grown, so have our food options. We love that there’s a diverse set of restaurants to choose from all along Main Street and throughout town! Some of our favorites include Big Mic’s Saloon and BBQ, The Coffee Cup Cafe, Enrique’s Mexican Restaurant, Lima Limon Peruvian, and Happy Teriyaki. We promise you won’t leave hungry!
